Lightbulb 💡 , here! February has been an exhilarating month filled with camaraderie, achievements, and a whole lot of heart. As we gear up to close out the first quarter, let's reflect on our journey so far and set our sights on the road ahead.
First and foremost, we loved getting in a team-building event at the Fort Worth Rodeo this month. Your enthusiasm and teamwork exemplified the spirit of collaboration that defines our company culture.
In the midst of our adventures, we also took the time to celebrate a special milestone – the union of one of our own who recently got married. Congratulations, Renee! Your happiness is ours, and we wish you a lifetime of joy and love.
Our office has been buzzing with activity as we welcomed suppliers bearing treats and lunches, further solidifying our partnerships and fostering a sense of community. These moments of connection remind us of the importance of collaboration and mutual support.
Looking ahead, we're thrilled to announce that we're actively expanding our team. This presents us with new opportunities for growth and innovation, and we're excited to welcome fresh perspectives and talents into the BOX family. If you know of anyone that would excel at BOX, have them check out our job postings and get in touch with Masey!
As we enter the final stretch of Q1, let's channel our collective energy and determination towards pushing ourselves to new heights. Let's challenge ourselves to surpass our goals, embrace innovation, and strive for excellence in everything we do.
Together, we have the power to make this quarter our best one yet. Let's seize every opportunity, overcome every obstacle, and finish Q1 on a high note.
Thank you all for your hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our shared goals. Here's to a February filled with achievements and a March brimming with promise!
Inflation-adjusted U.S. gas prices have fallen to the lowest level for over 30 years as a mild winter and continued production growth leave the market carrying a growing surplus of inventories.
In just eight years, the United States has rocketed from barely selling any gas overseas to becoming the world’s No. 1 supplier, a remarkable shift that has profited oil and gas companies and strengthened American influence abroad.

On Dec 31st 2022 as the new year was winding down, I was in the mountains with my family at one of our friend’s homes in Colorado. As TCU was kicking off against Michigan, my then 12 year old son was going on a snowmobile ride with my friend, Steve Walton. As we sat down to watch the game, we get a call from a random number and it’s my son on the other end of the line and he’s frantic that they had just had a wreck and Mr. Steve was unconscious. For the next few days, life was a total blur. Honestly, I don’t remember parts of it, while at the same time, I have the most vivid scenes in my head of what had really happened. Steve and my son had flown off the side of a mountain and had fallen over 100 feet down a mountain and unfortunately, Steve passed away. My son had miraculously lived through a near death experience.
Although it’s been over a year since then, I still have so many different waves of emotions. Grief for Steve and his family, but also thankfulness that my son is still alive and well. But above all, the biggest take away from the experience was how zoned in life gets when tragedy strikes. All I was concerned about was my Son, and Steve’s family. Nothing else really mattered at that point. It really changed so many things for me in my life. I changed the way I eat…I didn’t want my kid’s father dying of a heart attack. My spiritual life changed in a dramatic way. I viewed my wife differently. I quit the negative self-talk about where I was supposed to be in my own head.
I was listening to a recent podcast and I heard the comedian Christina Pazsitzky sum it up extremely well. She had a related incident and she said:
“I broke my ankle two years ago. The truth is, they gave me a shit ton of ketamine. I was tripping, and I thought I was dying. I really did. I was like, ‘I think this is it.’ And I wasn’t thinking about my career. I wasn’t stoked that I had so many specials on Netflix or that I was successful at anything. I was literally only thinking about my children and my husband. My children and my husband. It got real narrow real quick. And I came out of that and anytime I catch myself getting on this kick of, ‘I should be bigger,’ ‘I should be more successful,’ ‘I should be selling out arenas’—I go, ‘I’m going to die. My kids and my husband are all that matter.’”
We are a few months into the new year already and I really encourage everyone to stop and remind yourself of what really matters. In the end your successes and failures are collection of steps toward a certain direction. I pray you view the narrow things in your life differently. Take a wide range view of the superfluous other things, but narrow in on the things that matter.
